Room on the Bench:

Romans 15:7

A new player arrives at practice.

The rest of the team already knows where to put their bags. They know the warm-up routine. They have friends to sit beside in the dugout.

The new player is still trying to figure it all out.

Someone could make room.

A teammate could call them over. Show them where to go. Learn their name. Ask them to join the conversation.

It is a small invitation, but it can make a person feel like they belong.

Scripture says, “Receive ye one another, as Christ also received us.” — Romans 15:7

Jesus welcomed us with grace. We can offer that same welcome to someone standing on the outside of a group.

Sometimes we get so comfortable with our friends that we do not notice who is sitting alone. But one open seat, one conversation, or one simple invitation can make a difference.

Look around your dugout, your classroom, and your church.

There may be someone waiting for you to make room.

Live It

Notice someone who seems new or left out this week. Invite them to sit with you or join what you are doing.

Let’s Pray

Lord, thank You for welcoming us. Open our eyes to people who feel alone or unsure where they belong. Help us make room, offer friendship, and show them Your love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Blessings In Christ,

The Team at Bibles and Baseball
