No Jesus. No Salvation. No Purpose.

Keep Your Eye on the ball; a devotional series by Bibles and Baseball

Take the ball off the field and the game ends instantly. No arguing. No substitutes. No workaround. The rules don’t change just because you want them to.

Life works the same way.

You can have strength, talent, discipline, and grit—but if Jesus isn’t at the center, everything else eventually collapses. He is not an accessory. He is not a boost. He is not an option.

He is the game.

Scripture doesn’t leave room for negotiation:

“There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)

Hard work matters. Integrity matters. Training matters.

But none of them can forgive sin. None of them can restore what’s broken inside a man. None of them can stand with you when the final whistle blows and this life is over.

Without Jesus, effort becomes exhaustion. Success becomes empty. Purpose fades the moment circumstances change.

With Jesus, life has direction. Failure doesn’t define you. Sin doesn’t own you. Death doesn’t win. His grace holds when your strength runs out, and His truth doesn’t bend when pressure hits.

This isn’t about religion. It’s about reality.

A man who builds his life without Jesus is building without a foundation. It may look solid for a while—but collapse is guaranteed.

Live It

Stop trying to carry your life on discipline alone.

Stop trusting performance, reputation, or toughness to save you.

Surrender fully to Jesus—not just when life is hard, but every single day.

Strong men don’t avoid dependence on Christ.

Strong men recognize they need Him.

Let’s Pray

God, thank You for Jesus our Savior. Strip away every false trust we lean on. Teach us to build our lives on Christ alone. Give us strength to follow Him with everything we have. In His name we pray, Amen.

Blessings In Christ,

The Team at Bibles and Baseball
