Faithful in the Small Rep:
Spring Training Series – Part 3 (Roster Evaluation & Opportunity)
Spring Training is the evaluation season.
Every rep matters. Every drill counts. Players fight for roster spots. Young prospects try to prove they belong. Veterans show they still have it.
Nobody earns a role by talking about it. They earn it in small, unseen moments.
The Kingdom of God works the same way.
Colossians 3:23 says, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.”
Not just game day. Every day.
Luke 16:10 says, “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.”
Faithfulness in small assignments leads to larger responsibilities.
And 2 Timothy 4:7 declares, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
That’s a man who stayed faithful through the whole season.
Players — hustle in warmups. Run out ground balls. Parents — model integrity in the stands. Coaches — be consistent in private and public.
God sees the unseen reps.
He sees how you respond when you don’t get the starting role. He sees how you handle disappointment. He sees your effort when nobody applauds.
Spring Training reveals who’s serious.
Faith reveals who’s committed.
Don’t chase the spotlight. Chase faithfulness.
Roles may change. Recognition may fluctuate. But character built in small reps lasts.
Live It
Be faithful in something small this week. Serve without being noticed. Work hard even when no one is watching. Honor God in attitude and effort.
Let your consistency speak.
Let’s Pray
Lord,
Make us faithful in small things. Strengthen our integrity. Help us work as if You are watching — because You are.
Develop our character in unseen moments.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Blessings In Christ,
The Team at Bibles and Baseball
