The Ultimate Comeback:

Every baseball fan loves a comeback.

Bottom of the ninth. Two outs. Down to your last strike. It looks finished. The crowd starts heading for the exits. But one swing changes everything.

Easter is the greatest comeback in history.

On Friday, it looked like defeat. Jesus Christ had been crucified, buried, and sealed behind a stone. From every human perspective, the game was done.

But Luke 24:6 says, “He is not here, but has risen.”

What looked like the end was only the setup for victory.

Romans 5:8 tells us that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. It didn’t look powerful. It looked weak. It looked like loss. But God was writing a comeback story bigger than anyone understood.

Acts 2:24 — “But God raised Him up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for Him to be held by it.”

That’s comeback language. Jesus did not stay dead. He walked from the tomb, He lives!

Easter reminds us of this truth: what looks finished to us isn’t finished to God. And our God is greater than it all.

The resurrection proves that defeat doesn’t get the final word. The stone wasn’t too heavy. The grave wasn’t too final. Death wasn’t too strong.

Because Jesus rose, we don’t live—or play—like people who are already beaten. We play with confidence, grit, and freedom. Our identity isn’t tied to stats, starting positions, or wins. It’s anchored in a Savior who walked out of a tomb.

The ultimate comeback has already happened. That means no inning of your life is beyond hope.

Live It

Rejoice! Celebrate! Our God is the God of comebacks!

Let’s Pray

Father,

Thank You for the ultimate comeback. When it looked like defeat, You were securing victory. When the world saw a grave, You brought resurrection.

Help us live like we believe the tomb is empty. Give us courage in tough innings, patience in hard seasons, and faith when things look finished.

Teach us to trust You beyond the scoreboard. Remind us that because Jesus lives, hope lives.

We step back into the box with confidence—not in ourselves, but in You.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Blessings In Christ,

The Team at Bibles and Baseball
